This is situated away from
the main tourist areas, and
has an excellent beach
backed by rusty coloured
cliffs   (Falesia beach). The
Acoteias village itself is
some way inland but the
tourist accommodation is, in
general, much nearer the
beach.  The Aldeia das
Açoteias is one of these
tourist complex
accomodation. The beach
itself is long and fairly
spacious, clean, well
maintained and normally has
crystal clear water. Access
to the beach and a small
restaurant is via a set of
stairs from the road.

Opposite Pine Cliffs resort along from Brothers bar and Restaurante O'Antonio. Popular with the locals, wide range of traditional food and excellent value

Retiro do Isca
"is on the other side of the apartments at Val de Carro. Beyond the apartments turn right at the T - junction and follow the road for about half a mile. It is very
popular and it's worth while booking a table rather than turning up on chance. Again the food is excellent and good value".

Steak House
"Just up the road from Ti Costas this is the last restaurant and was very tastefully decorated, the food & wines were excellent with friendly and attentive staff.
Very interesting menu (wild boar stew for one & plenty others) Just be careful if sitting outside as neon sign when lit-up attracts a lot of flies who try eating
